Breakin
Bread are the UK's premier funk, soul and hip hop crew. They've
been rocking their own block parties since 1998 playing funk and
soul alongside hip hop. Along the way they've gained a loyal following
for the way they join the dots between the breaks that created hip
hop with latin, soul, funk, disco, neo soul , classic old school
hip hop and new funky dancefloor hip hop. No jiggyness allowed when
these guys are on the decks!
The
Breakin Bread Crew host monthly late night sessions at The Jazz
Cafe and you can expect an evening of funky tunes aimed squarely
at the dancefloor. There are always b-boys in the house throwing
down some shapes on the breakdance lino and exciting the crowd.
The host MC Dylan Sage keeps things moving as Breakin Bread resident
DJ's on rotation Skeg, Natural Self, Para and Paul T keep the good
stuff flowing.
Dr
Rubberfunk has released 2 beats driven production albums to critical
acclaim and worldwide dancefloor destruction. He is a renowned DJ
too but doesn't just stick to the digital stuff he's also an accomplished
drummer and when he takes to his kit it's normally as part of his
Mr Guder 3 piece.

Mr
Guder begain as a live drum recording session but the guys soon
realised they had the basis of a few decent recordings that they
put out as a series of 7"s under the banner "Super Guder Breaks".
Spurred on by what they heard from other like minded labels like
Tru-Thoughts, Breakin Bread and Stones Throw they've been working
on an album to be released soon.
Power
trio funk is how Mr Guder describe themselves. Expect some well
known breaks thrown in with their own material as they bring the
good times to the Jazz Cafe.
